AN960 flat washers can be used under hex nuts. AN 960 washers provide a smooth bearing surface. They can work as shims to obtain the correct grip length for a nut and bolt assembly, or to adjust the position of and castle or shear nuts with respect to drilled cotter pin holes in bolts and clevis pins. Available in cadmium plated steel and  in both regular and light thickness.
