AN8 BOLTS 1/2-20 UNDRILLED
Hex head, grade 8, aircraft bolts, made of high-strength alloy steel (type 8740 most commonly used).
Minimum tensile strength 125,000 PSI. Cadmium
plated per specification QQ-P-416A, Type II, Class 3.
Available drilled shank for cotter pin or undrilled for stop nut,
and with or without drilled head for safety wire.
Undrilled shank = letter "A" after the dash number (AN4-10A)
Drilled head = letter "H" after the AN number (AN4H-10)
Length of AN aircraft bolts is measured from under the
head to the end of the shank. The 'grip' is the smooth portion
of the shank (un-threaded).
Bolts are Cad I (silver color) unless indicated by an * which are Cad II (gold color)
