Tinnerman nuts are used to replace threaded nuts, lock washers, and spanner washers; lighter than other types of self-locking aircraft fasteners. Install quicker, easier, and are vibration resistant. Give maximum holding power at minimum cost per fastener. Turned-up ends prevent scoring of surfaces. Use with type B tapping screws.
